i had decided to makeover a dollhouse for my girls, i tried to find an old one, but i just had a hard time finding one with furniture, or one that was a style i wanted, so i ended up buying a brand new one and starting from there. i had a great time, i made the fireplace out of clay (it is slightly falling apart), i recovered the sofa from a goodwill pillowcase, made faucets and plates out of clay, and found a few rattan furniture pieces on mercari. the upstairs pink bed was a pencil holder i found at marshalls, i made the main fireplace out of trim moulding, and printed out the artwork. honestly, i had so much making this - if i didn’t have an actual day job (raising and schooling my kids) and a night job (as a graphic designer) maybe i would just play with dollhouses!
