our bedroom didn’t require any renovation, but since we originally moved in from an international move with a newborn, it took us a few years to actually get this room settled. i have had this fake fireplace since my twenties, and i finally added a 20’ tv with built in dvd that i play a fireplace on, as cheesy at it may sounds, if you can’t get a real fireplace, this is a great substitute. i made the light fixture from a basket, the photo is mine, as are many of the treasures in the room. the lumbar pillow is made from a turkish rug i got on etsy and the cross ethiopian.
cabinet, storage boxes, display cabinet.

the guestroom is a bit of fun really thanks to this great wallpaper. we went with the actual wallpaper although i think you can get a peel-n-stick (a friend of mine had a peel-n-stick nightmare and frankly i’m not totally sure why it would be preferred) the bed is actually made of two twin beds that are joined with a large mattress pad for when it is combined. the two twin beds have been used many times for guests, which is a great feature.
